Privacy Policy

1. What Data We Collect

When you use Redline, the following information is stored in our database to run the game:

• Your Discord user ID and username
• The Discord server (guild) ID where you play
• Your in-game Fuel Credits (FC) balance and total earned
• Your card garage — the names, rarities, and stats of cards you own
• Your active lineup (driver and car pairing)
• Your ELO rating, win/loss record, and race history counts
• Cooldown timestamps for commands like /daily, /work, /scout, /steal, and others
• Your daily login streak
• Your franchise membership and franchise ID, if you join one
• Achievement progress and unlock timestamps
• Cosmetic preferences — active title, livery, and tagline
• Season badges earned at the end of ranked seasons
• Server-level settings such as league name, channel IDs, season standings, and prize pool

We do not collect your email address, IP address, real name, payment information, or any data outside of Discord interactions with the bot.

2. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is used exclusively to operate Redline's gameplay features:

• Processing race outcomes, ELO changes, and FC transactions
• Enforcing cooldowns to prevent command abuse
• Tracking card ownership for your garage, trades, and the player market
• Displaying your profile, leaderboard position, and achievements
• Calculating league season standings and awarding season badges
• Enabling server-specific features like franchise leagues and custom settings

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the bot.

3. Third-Party Services

Redline uses the following external services:

• Discord — The platform the bot runs on. Discord's own privacy policy governs data they collect directly. See discord.com/privacy.
• top.gg — When you vote for Redline on top.gg, their service sends a webhook to our bot confirming the vote so we can deliver your reward. We receive only your Discord user ID from this webhook.
• Discord Bot List (discordbotlist.com) — Same as above. When you vote on discordbotlist.com, a webhook delivers your Discord user ID to us so your reward can be processed. No other data is received.
• Patreon — If you support Redline on Patreon, we receive confirmation of your membership tier via Patreon's integration in order to grant your in-game perks. We do not receive your payment details. Patreon's own privacy policy governs data they collect. See patreon.com/policy/privacy.
• MongoDB Atlas — Our database provider where all game data is stored. Data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you are an active Redline player. If you would like your data deleted, you can request it by contacting us in our Discord support server. We will remove your user record from the database within a reasonable time.

Note: Deleting your data is permanent. Your FC balance, card collection, ELO, achievements, and all other progress cannot be recovered after deletion.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect stored data, including restricted database access and secure hosting. However, no system is completely immune to breaches. We encourage you not to share account-sensitive information with other players.

6. Children's Privacy

Redline is a Discord bot and is subject to Discord's minimum age requirements (13+ in most regions, 16+ in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from users below Discord's minimum age. If you believe a minor's data has been stored, contact us for removal.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the bot's features change. Material changes will be announced in our Discord server. Continued use of Redline after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
